At just 17, Tyler made his mark on the country music scene, winning both the 2023 Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year at the North American Country Music Association International (NACMAI) competition in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. His outstanding talent also earned him opportunities to open for such artists as Ray Scott, Dale Watson, Ben Chapman, John Paycheck, and Whey Jennings, among others.
Tyler is a fifth-generation musician. His father, Luke was a musician for Dolly Parton's pre-show at the Dixie Stampede in Tennessee.
Tyler's musical journey has been strongly shaped by his father.
Together, they crossed paths with Glen Cain, a three tour Vietnam veteran and former Army Green Beret who later worked security, and eventually played along with Conway Twitty. Glen, in turn, invited Tyler, his father, and Tyler's Uncle Clint to join his band, offering Tyler invaluable guidance in the world of entertainment.
Now, Tyler is stepping into the spotlight and will be working on his debut EP during summer of 2025, marking the beginning of his promising music career. Currently, Tyler has two original songs playing across over seven-thousand radio stations.
During 2024, Tyler was the lead in a short film titled, Finding Chase. this was part of the Detroit 48 Hour Film Project competition and won first place for Family Film. Luke Gitchel, Tyler's dad, played Chase's
father in the film.
This film continues to be submitted to various competitions.
